Delete your Bloom account
Last updated: 16 September 2026
Operated by Bloom App Services. Support: hello@bloomapp.com.au
You can delete your Bloom account yourself, at any time, and you do not have to ask us first. Deleting is permanent — we cannot restore an account once it is gone.
1. Delete it yourself
In the app: open Profile, then Account, then Delete account.
On the website: sign in and open Profile → Account.
Your account and its data are removed straight away.
2. If you can't sign in
Email hello@bloomapp.com.au from the address on your Bloom account, with Delete my account as the subject. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
We ask you to write from the account's own email address because it is how we check the request is really yours. If you no longer have access to that address, email us anyway and we will find another way to verify you.
3. Delete some of your data, and keep your account
You do not have to close your account to remove things from it. In the app, open Profile:
- A photo — tap it, then Remove photo
- Your voice prompt — tap Remove next to it
- Your bio, prompts and profile details — edit them and save, or clear them
If there is something else you want removed, email hello@bloomapp.com.au and tell us what. We will delete it unless the law requires us to keep it, and we will tell you if that is the case.
4. What gets deleted with your account
- Your profile, photos, bio, voice prompt and preferences
- Your matches and your conversations, including the messages in them
- Your Bloom Points balance and any perks you have claimed
- Your blocks, and reports you have made or that were made about you
- Any venue listing you own, and its content
- Your sign-in credentials
5. What we keep, and why
We keep a small amount of information after deletion. We are telling you exactly what, rather than leaving it vague:
- Why you left. If you give a reason when you delete, we keep it with your email address so we can understand what is not working. Ask us and we will delete this too.
- Age and safety records. Where the law requires it, we keep the minimum records that show a member was an adult — see our age records statement.
- Safety bans. If an account was removed for harming someone, we keep enough to stop that person coming back. Deleting an account is not a way to clear a ban.
- Payment records. Australian tax law requires us to keep records of money received. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are held by Apple and Google, not us — cancel those in your store account.
Messages you sent to someone else may still appear in their copy of the conversation until they delete it, in the same way an email you sent stays in the other person's inbox.
6. Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your Bloom account does not cancel a Plus or Premium subscription bought in the app — only Apple or Google can do that. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account before you delete, or you may keep being charged.
7. Questions
